Same problem, i tried the solution on the previous topic, doesn't work

For me it works, tested just now, so you must be doing something wrong. Also make sure that authorities list is latest, same as specified in this post.

There are currently 3 issues:

1. It does timeout to some servers indeed, but those are not the only servers in list. AdvOR will look for different ones, just give it some time, even if it takes 5 minutes, we are talking only about first start.


2. Windows antimalware scanner is slowing down AdvOR as hell, atleast for me on Windows 11. I don't know what it is looking for, but the process gets very slow indeed because of that.


3. If you are stuck on "Connecting to the Tor network", press "New identity" button, it will force AdvOR looking for another circuit.

Just get through this progress, once you get to 100%, save the settings and restart AdvOR, next time it will launch in less than 5 seconds.
