DCGPT: AI Chat Bot DCGPT: AI Chat Bot How to: Connect DCGPT with Ollama on Windows

Ollama fixing stuff
Visit Ollama download page to get Ollama for Windows. Follow on-screen instructions to finish OllamaSetup.exe installation process.

Next you want to find a suitable model to run locally on your PC or server. To find a perfect model, use Ollama search page.

Personally I like this up-to-date model by Google DeepMind, with single GPU support, called gemma3.

Open up command line interface in Windows and pull your model using ollama pull gemma3:4b. Wait for download to finish.

You may choose a suitable model size depending on amount of physical memory you are willing to give away for response generation.

Once done, exit the command line interface and launch DCGPT. Enter default local Ollama API server URL: http://localhost:11434/api

DCGPT self-explanatory main window
If you have a GPU with atleast 8GB VRAM, you can safely set GPU layers limit to 64 and keep CPU threads at low number - normally number of cores in your CPU.

Now press Load button in DCGPT in order to load all available models locally stored by your Ollama installation.

There you go, you are now able to use speech-to-text and text-to-speech feature if available in your Windows - if not, a simple chat is present.

Once you are done choosing and testing your preferred model, you want to register a new user account on your NMDC hub and connect DCGPT using the credentials.

Thats it, start your question with chosen nickname and text you want to forward to your local model, then wait for response:

[09:38:20] <RoLex> 247GPT: 1 + 5 ?

[09:38:27] <RoLex> 247GPT: 1 + 91919191 ?
[09:38:28] <247GPT> RoLex: 92000000
[09:38:45] <RoLex> lol

While Ollama is working on response, you can check logs, Windows task manager or other resource monitor to see how your GPU, CPU and RAM are used in order to fine-tune DCGPT according to your PC specification and chosen model.

We send all kudos to people involved with Ollama and free model distribution! Thank you for giving us the opportunity of free experimenting! angel
